Cumbria Junior Squash

Child Protection

Cumbria Junior Squash follows the England Squash Child Protection Policy, this requires the county to appoint a County Child Protection Officer registered with England Squash . However this position was not filled last season and is still vacant.

One of the requirements of the policy is that consent must be obtained for the junior to take part in any County squash activities. This is normally achieved by signing a Parental / Carer Consent Form that should be provided together with details of the event.

However if the Club has complied with the England Squash Policy and appointed their own Child Protection Officer individual event forms may not be needed

Clubs also have a responsibility to appoint their own Club Child Protection Officer who must also be registered with England Squash. He or she carries out the same duties but on a club basis, one of the main advantages is that one consent form can be signed to cover all Club and County activities for a full season for each junior player  in that particular club.
