Thanks to Roger Smith of TG&SL all of our Boys & Girls County Teams have been provided with very smart squash shirts. The Boys U13 team photograph is just one example – those of the other boys teams are posted on CS website for you to see (link), the girls have different coloured shirts. Issuing this note gives me another opportunity to remind you of the generous sponsorship provided by Roger. He is supporting Cumbria Junior Squash to a total of £3000 over a three year period – i.e. £1000 each year starting this season (2007/2008). Such sponsorships are rare in our organisation and mean so much at a time of ever increasing costs so we feel very fortunate indeed to be in this position. So, Roger, on behalf of CS & CJS, once again I thank you for your support – it is very much appreciated.

The Cumbria Men’s Over 35 Teams above, competed in the England Squash Inter County Championship. The large group is the team that competed in the Stage 1 weekend at Nottingham and the smaller group the team that competed in the Stage 2 weekend at Boston, Lincolnshire. The Men’s Over 35 Team has been very generously sponsored by Domino’s Pizza Group Limited in the form of £1000 cash, to cover travel, accommodation, and kit in the form of 25 squash shirts and 10 fleeces all with logos – as proudly displayed by the players on the photographs. Such sponsorships are rare in our organisation and mean so much at a time of ever increasing costs and limited income, so we feel very fortunate indeed to be in this position.
