Cumbria’s U19 girls team represented the county in the Inter Counties final tournament on the 20th and 21st April. In the semi-final, the team played Surrey who eased through to the final with a 3-0 win, with Nada El Kalawaay leading the way in her first string match beating Jessica Winder 3-0, although Jessica made things difficult in the 3rd game, narrowly losing it 20-22! And at 2nd string Georgie Ingham also had a tough battle in the 3rd game just edging it 16/1

Cumbria played Northumbria in the play-off. Northumbria were slightly too strong for Cumbria winning 3-0; but the tie hinged on the 3rd string match which was first on and very narrowly won by Jayne Oswald against Victoria Watson 11/13 in the 5th.
