The first Cumbria squash leagues since the pandemic were won by Carlisle A (1st division) and Appleby (second division). Carlisle beat their B team colleagues into second place, winning 10 out of 14 ties. In the 2nd division, Appleby needed to beat Kendal B (who finished 2nd) in the last match of the season to secure the title.

Paul and Victoria Bell were the winners of the Men's and Women's Cumbria County Closed this year, maintaining an (almost) unbroken record stretching back to 2010. There were 5 boys and 3 girls categories contested in the Junior County Championships. The boys under-19 trophy was new for this year - named in honour of David Henderson who has passed away from cancer, in commemoration of all the work he did for junior squash in the county for over 20 years.See full story...

Adam Goad and Victoria Bell retained their Cumbria County Closed titles in the tournament at Carlisle. Adam beat Paul Bell in the men's A final, with Victoria defeating Eve Driver. This is Adam's second win, whilst Victoria has been champion now for 11 successive years.
