Cumbria U13’s win County Cup stage

A team made up of Joseph Broadley (CAR), Tim Outhwaite (WIN), Ashton Telford (WIN) and Rebecca Smith (CAR) knocked all their oppenents off on their way to winning stage two of the newly-formed Inter County Cup.

The competition is aimed at players who may normally play at the bottom end of the county teams or are on the fringes of the squad, giving them vital experience of playing outside of their counties.

Cumbria beat Worcestershire 3-1, Derbyshire 4-0 (dropping only two sets) and drew with Yorkshire 2-2 woith Joseph and Tim winning. Over the competition, Cumbria had collected more points than Yorkshire, who had also won two games, and were named champions.

Well done to all involved and Cumbria Squash would like to thank Roger Smith for managing the team.
