Alan Dodd died peacefully at home on Friday 1 May 2020.
Alan had been an active member of Brampton Squash club for well over 30 years supporting its local activities and the county in County League and other competitions. He stopped playing Team Squash about 7 years ago when he had a cardiac arrest after a game at Carlisle Squash Club when he was thankfully revived by 2 members with the help of the club defibrillator.
Tom Armstrong, chair of Cumbria Squash and Racketball, said “Alan was a friendly and well liked member of the club and in the county squash scene and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. On behalf of our organisation I give our condolences to his family, friends and the Cumbria squash community at this very sad time.”
