Cumbria Squash and Racketball becomes a charity

On  14th January the Charity Commission approved Cumbria Squash and Racketball’s application for charitable status.  Cumbria is the first county association in the country to apply for and be granted this status – due to its role in promoting and supporting sport in the county.  Charitable status makes it easier for the county to apply for grants, and it also limits the liability of committee members – which will hopefully make it easier to attract committee members in the future.
