Excellent turnout at Junior County Championships
County Coach Gavin Stephenson said “The day went smoothly. Carlisle were fantastic hosts, nothing new there! Special mention to the Wigton under 11 girls for making the atmosphere absolutely raucous during their final! With 16 entries, the competition was graded according to rankings, into two groups of 8 players. All games were competed to very good standards and with great sportsmanship; everyone enjoyed themselves. The drawer for this year’s Squash County Closed is now available. There are 6 men’s grades and one woman’s. The initial rounds will be held at Carlisle on Saturday 12th March (alongside the junior competition) and the finals will be the following (Sunday) evening.
